In Quebec, exit doors in commercial buildings and warehouses cannot use bolts, deadbolts, or handles that prevent fast exit. Only exit devices (panic bars) are legally allowed when the green “EXIT” light is shown above the door.
In some warehouses, inspectors allow a removable bar to protect against break-ins. Important notes:
